Cornish Metals lists on the London Stock Exchange
BlytheRay assisted in the IPO of Cornish Metals on the London Stock Exchange in January 2021, enabling the Company to partner with UK investors to develop a domestic foothold in the world’s e-vehicle, battery power and renewable energy markets.
The Company’s two projects in Cornwall, in area designated as a ‘High Potential Opportunity’ region by the UK government, has received local and countrywide support for their development. This is due to the recognition of Cornwall’s potential to contribute to the world’s rise in demand for metals such as tin, copper and lithium to advance the development of the high-tech sector as well as a growing demand for domestically sourced materials.
BlytheRay developed a communication strategy around the IPO, which included strategic market announcements that highlighted the strengths of Cornish Metals as an investment. Built relationships between Cornish Metals and key journalists, as well as enhanced the Company’s presence digitally. In addition to building relationships with the media, BlytheRay arranged sell-side analyst roadshows. On listing, the Company raised £8 million, instead of the £5 million it hoped for, as investors rushed at the opportunity to be part of the UK’s future as a key supplier of metals. The communication strategy devised led to coverage in The Times and The Telegraph. BlytheRay were also instrumental in supporting the Company in its involvement in the G7 summit, hosted in Cornwall.
